A Ghost Kitchen recently opened in Oakville after a popular Portuguese restaurant permanently closed its doors to the public.

Senhor Frango, which was located at 2530 Third Line Unit 8A, was best known for their modern authentic Portuguese cuisine and popular menu items such as their Piri Piri Chicken, Bitoque, ribs, wings and more.

The restaurant has since been replaced by Foodie Love, a Ghost Kitchen that offers Greek cuisine and other menu items such as chicken and waffles, burgers, sandwiches and more.

In a heartfelt message posted to Instagram back in March, Senhor Frango announced to the public that they would soon be capitalizing on a new business opportunity.

“To all of our loyal and transient guests, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for all of your support,” stated Senhor Frango’s Instagram post.

“We have capitalized on an opportunity to sell our business. The new owners will be rebranding and an announcement will be coming soon.”

Several members of the community expressed their sadness over the closure in the comment section of the post.

“Oh, I am so sad to hear this. Your food was always amazing,” one Instagram user said.

“Sorry to hear this! You will be missed for sure!” said another user.

While the Portuguese restaurant will be missed by many, Oakville residents will now have the opportunity to experience something new at Foodie Love.

“We concentrate our energy creating great food for you in our kitchens rather than having a full dining area,” said the Ghost Kitchen in a recent Facebook post.
