Fatal collision closes westbound QEW near Ford Drive

The OPP’s Highway Safety Division are on the scene of a fatal multi-vehicle collision Friday (Oct. 30) morning on the westbound QEW at Ford Drive.

All westbound lanes of the QEW at Ford Drive are closed for the investigation into the crash that involved a school bus, dump truck and several other vehicles, according to an OPP tweet.

Police say that one person from an involved car has been pronounced dead at the scene.

Update: Westbound lanes beyond Winston Churchill remain closed. The OPP says that the Fort Erie-bound on-ramps from Winston Churchill, 403 and Ford Dr. are also closed.
