UPDATED: Driver Crashes Into Pole Near Major Mississauga Intersection

Police have reported a crash in Mississauga tonight.

Police said at 8:52 p.m. that a single vehicle had crashed into a pole at Hurontario Street and Matthews Gate, near Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road.

Southbound Hurontario is blocked at Burnhamthorpe.

Police are advising that you avoid the area.

UPDATED: As of 10:53 p.m. one male has been taken to a local hospital for a “medical episode.” The roadway will be open shortly.
