Car fire affecting traffic on Mississauga street

Drivers in Mississauga were advised to reroute away from a street where firefighters were sent to attend to a reported car fire on Thursday (Jan. 6).

Traffic on Pickwick Street was affected after Peel Regional Police received a report regarding a car on fire in driveway of a residence, at Pickwick St. and Creditview Road. There were reports of loud explosions occurring inside the vehicle.

No injuries were reported. It was not clear whether anyone was at the residence when the reported explosions and fires encouraged.
