700 km ‘Ride To Remember’ goes through Halton

The annual Ride to Remember is scheduled to make its way through the Halton region on Wednesday, between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Halton Regional Police Chief Steve Tanner and Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Thomas Carrique will join more than 160 cyclists from across Canada on the 700-kilometer bicycle trek to raise awareness for the National Police Memorial, which honours officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Rain or shine, the Ride to Remember begins at the Ontario Police College in Aylmer, Ont.  Wednesday and will end in Ottawa on Saturday, Sept 28.

Riders will be making a rest stop at Halton Regional Police Service Headquarters on North Service Rd W in Oakville.
